Ingredients
. Wheat flour - 1 cup
. Chana dal - 1/4 cup
. Green moong dal - 1/4 cup
. Toor dal - 1/4 cup
. Red chilli powder - 1/2 teaspoon
. Coriander powder - 1/4 teaspoon
. Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
. Cumin seed - 1/4 teaspoon
. Mustard seed - 1/4 teaspoon
. Salt
. Garam masala - 1/4 teaspoon
. Ghee - 1/2 tablespoon
. Coriander leaves - 1 tablespoon
. 2 cup water
Step 1 - The Dough For The Baatis
Take a bowl and add wheat flour with ghee and salt, knead a very stiff dough with water. Shape the dough in the size of a ball. heat a gas tandoor and roast the dough balls on medium heat for some time. Keep the baati brown and crusty.
Step 2 - Prepare The Dal
Wash all the dals and add 1cup water and a 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric. Cook the dal for 2 whistles. Make a paste by mixing all the spices in 1/2 cup of water. Put ghee in a pan and add cumin on medium heat and add the paste of spices and cook it. Add the cooked dal.
Add water and mix the dal well.
Garnish
Garnish the dal with coriander and lemon.
Add ghee to the bati and garnish the plate well with onion green chili and serve.
